2015 Jeep Wrangler Recalls, Ratings & Complaints

My 2015 Jeep Wrangler has experienced multiple incidents of sudden, unexpected engine shutdown while driving. Without warning, the engine completely loses power, causing the vehicle to lose propulsion and power steering assistance. The dashboard lights and radio remain operational during these incidents. I must turn the ignition off and restart the vehicle, after which the engine starts immediately and operates normally. The vehicle previously experienced similar problems involving additional electrical malfunctions. The fuel pump was subsequently replaced, and the camshafts and rocker arms have also been replaced. Despite these repairs, the engine has unexpectedly shut off approximately two or three additional times. These incidents occur intermittently and without warning, making them difficult to reproduce during dealership inspections. I am concerned that the vehicle could suddenly lose power in heavy traffic or at highway speeds (as it’s done previously even in the pouring rain), potentially resulting in a serious collision. The underlying cause remains undiagnosed and unresolved.

We have been experiencing an intermittent gas leak for two years. We have taken it to AutoNation Jeep several times for this issue but they haven’t been able to reproduce the problem. We have provided video evidence and opened a case with Jeep, Case 98207897, but nothing has happened for two months now. We have a lifetime warranty on the Jeep and have asked that they replace all possible parts. Jeep approved this but the dealership refuses to do the work. We are left with an unsafe vehicle that leaks gas. If you go through this video frame by frame you will see the gas on the undercarriage. I did not trace it to the source, but you can clearly see the gasoline traveling and then dripping onto the ground. Both ORC module and ABS modules have failed on a 10 year old vehicle. Separate issues that greatly impact the cars safety and Stellantis refuses to anything about it to fix issues that can hurt americans. Both modules unresponsive through testing and causing critical safety systems to be inoperable.

CAN NOT PURCHASE AN ABS CONTROL MODUAL

I have been waiting for a part that has been on back order for over 1 year! I live in Hawaii and i understand these things take time but over 1 year of waiting is ridiculous! I’m currently being told by my dealership that I’m waiting for an abs module that’s been on back order for a long time already. I need to know if there are alternatives options for parts? A loaner? What are my options at this point?!

The ABS module has gone bad and there is no replacement available. I am concerned that my car is now lacking these essential safety features and it seems like there are no plans to ever make this part again. I am not sure what I can do if this part does not exist anymore.

I purchased my 2015 Jeep Wrangler as a new vehicle in Missouri in 2015. The vehicle has been appropriately maintained with no major repairs and has approximately 17,251 miles. On the afternoon on [XXX], I cranked my vehicle and several warning lights came on. The check engine, ABS, traction control, and parking brake lights all illuminated. I took the vehicle to Advance Auto for an initial code scan and had error codes U1120 (lost wheel distance), U1110 (lost vehicle speed), and U0121 (lost communication system with ABS module). I dropped the vehicle off the next morning for further diagnostics at a local Meineke location. The scans at Meineke confirmed the same error codes with an electrical system assessment determining a complete ABS module failure. In addition to the ABS module failing, the speedometer and odometer were also not working. Unfortunately, I discovered that Stellantis is no longer manufacturing the part and a significant backlog of when and if the part may ever become available again. This has resulted in an increased cost to repair since new parts are hard to find and very expensive, third-party parts are also hard to find, and companies that could repair and refurbish the part were no longer doing so due to challenges in getting the right parts for refurbishment. On [XXX] a new part was located in South Carolina, and the ABS module was replaced the next day. The total cost to repair was $3,140. This seems like straight price gouging given the cost to repair while Stellantis still manufactured the parts and the parts for refurbishing this module that is known to fail. My particular case is not an isolated event. In fact, the other vehicle in my household, also a Jeep, had a failing ABS module 1 week after mine failed. We both discovered that ABS module failures on Jeep vehicles is a known issue and one that has not triggered a recall or any legal action against Jeep and their parent company. The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, the ABS, BRAKE, and traction control warning lights illuminated, and the cruise control became inoperable. The dealer was contacted and the vehicle diagnosed with ABS failure. The contact was informed that parts were not available for the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 97,159.

Abs module has been bad now for over 1 years, I was 541 on waiting list with only 2 available nationwide, now still being told not available and "it's okay to drive without it" by the dealership, so no anti lock brakes, no cruise control, no traction control, this module is now over 1400 dollars to install but not available, hmmm part was 200 bucks before all the 2015 jeep wranglers start to experience the same issue and MOPAR wont make the part , it should be a recall before a driver or other road users get KILLED, this is being reported all over the USA, seems like all 2015 modules are the problem, (should have recalled the plastic abs oil cooler that is placed inside of engine block PLASTIC doesn't withstand heat, but I repaired that to a tune of 1800 bucks) then ABS module out jeep dealer put me on the list for part but not able to say if ever the module will be available, I checked Amazon they have them but was instructed not to use the product on my jeep that it would hurt other components on vehicle, PLEASE MAKE MOPAR make and install these faulty abs module, don't let them force the public to drive without safety features mandated in 2012 on all vehicles to have anti lock brakes, thanks for your attention, still waiting for over a year plus for a OEM part so my wife can safely drive the long distances she is required to do , this recall is way over due
