BACK UP CAMERA- BACK UP CAMERA WILL GO FUZZY OR THE SCREEN WILL GO BLACK WHEN IN USE FIRST TIME WAS 12/20/2024 IT DOSE NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT IT DOES HAPPEN I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIME FOR THE CAMERA ISSUES AND THAY DONT SEEM TO FIND AN ISSUE I HAVE VIDEOS OF THIS HAPPENING BUT YOUR SYSTEM WON'T LET ME UPLOAD THEM

The power tailgate fails to open (and subsequently close) most of the time, i.e., 8/10 times, requiring significant manual force. If someone were to forcibly open the tailgate after the power button failed, load the bed with cargo, get back in the driver’s seat and attempt to close the tailgate using the button inside the car, and then subsequently drive off, someone could be severely injured or killed.

Drivers side interior door handle broken trapping driver inside unless they exit passenger side or roll down window to reach exterior handle. Toyota replaced with is having to pay saying known issue.

All interior door handles have a plastic piece within the door panel that can snap under normal operation, resulting in loss of ability to exit the vehicle while inside. My vehicle, and many other 4th Generation Tacoma owners, have reported this happening. For my situation, my driver’s interior door handle does not engage the door latch mechanism as of [XXX]. The window must be rolled down and outside handle pulled to open the door. Upon taking it to the dealer on October 3rd, the part is to be replaced with the original part that was installed. The issue has been stated by the service department at Wyatt Johnson Toyota (Clarksville, TN) as being a nationwide issue. That part is on national backorder and I am driving this vehicle until that part arrives at an unknown date per the dealership. This poses a hazard because if I am in an accident and need to exit the vehicle through my driver’s side, my life would be at risk if I cannot roll down the window to open the door from the outside as the interior handle is inoperable. If/when the part does break again as it has not been improved by Toyota, then this will be a recurring safety failure that continues to put lives at risk if a driver or passengers cannot exit the vehicle through normal operation. Recommend this gets presented to Toyota, with a reinforced part created by Toyota, and a subsequent safety recall with part replaced on all 4 doors at no cost to the owner.INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

For second time fordt time was in 2024 bow again in September of 2026 while accelerating i loose power while shifting gears. No matter how hard i push accelerator it does not provide power feels almost like seiches to from drive . Worried that loss of power will cause accident since i csn accelerate. Toyoa want me to replicate this condition and is impossible to do. Offed to pay myself to check for metal shavings. I will pay to stay safe if they will deny the issue again. No check engine light

car passed and the vehicles breaks were pressed with the foot pedal to allow the other car to pass quickly but they did not work and the vehicle went off the road

Have 2 incidents. 1. Transmission would do a hard jerk when shifting from 1st to 2nd going about 20MPH. Also happened when slowing down. Also happened when going from park to reverse/drive and/or reverse to drive. Happened randomly. Had to tech from dealer for ride along and tech saw it happen first hand. Ended up getting new transmission. Truck has 30K miles. 2. Drivers side door handle broke. Had to roll down window to open door from outside.

I am reporting an intermittent and potentially safety-related drivability/powertrain issue with my 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter i-FORCE MAX. The vehicle has experienced previous intermittent abnormal drivetrain/transmission behavior while towing, particularly while towing in rain. During previous occurrences, the drivetrain/transmission felt as though it was slipping or behaving abnormally. These concerns were previously reported to Toyota dealers, but the condition could not be duplicated and no definitive cause was identified. The most recent and most serious occurrence happened while towing a travel trailer up a steep grade in heavy rain. The vehicle was operating in 2WD with Tow/Haul mode and S/manual shifting engaged. The vehicle was under significant engine/drivetrain load, operating at approximately 3,500-4,000 RPM and approximately 3rd/4th gear. Before the warning messages appeared, I noticed abnormal drivetrain behavior and RPM fluttering/hunting, similar to the previous intermittent transmission/drivetrain problems. The vehicle then experienced a complete loss of accelerator response. The engine remained running, but accelerator input became essentially unresponsive. Pressing the accelerator did not cause the engine RPM to increase. After removing my foot from the accelerator, the engine continued running at approximately idle. The following warning messages appeared: * “Call Your Dealer” * “System Malfunction” * “Drive Start Control Malfunction”

Driver side doors won’t open. Truck locks you in. It has 25k miles on it and Toyota dealer says they can’t get the parts to make my truck safe.

While the vehicle was parked in my driveway, I noticed oil leaking on the ground and discovered that the rear shock absorber had suffered a catastrophic structural failure. The vehicle is a 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road covered under the manufacturer's original factory warranty. This specific vehicle configuration is included under active federal safety recall campaign 26TB14 / 26TA14 (NHTSA Campaign Number 26V514) for rear suspension failure. Upon taking the vehicle to an authorized dealership, it was determined that the vehicle is completely unsafe to operate and entirely undriveable due to the severity of this rear suspension component failure. The manufacturer has officially opened a corporate case file but has logged a nationwide parts backlog, stating that the required replacement safety components are completely unavailable due to supply chain restrictions. As a result, the manufacturer is unable to remedy this critical safety defect for up to six months, leaving an active, under-warranty recall vehicle grounded and severely incapacitated on a dealership lot indefinitely due to a known factory manufacturing defect
