Melted Fusible Link may Result in Fire

NHTSA #14V407000 · Electrical System · NHTSA notice

Reported July 2, 2014 · General Motors LLC

Potentially affected: 9,371 vehicles

Repair completion: 32.95% (latest rate the manufacturer reported to NHTSA; dataset updated November 3, 2026)

Manufacturer campaign 14260 · Owners notified August 29, 2014 · Vehicles built October 14, 2009 – June 11, 2010 (per NHTSA)

Defect description

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2007-2011 Chevrolet Silverado HD 2500/3500 trucks manufactured January 18, 2007, to June 22, 2011, and GMC Sierra HD 2500/3500 trucks manufactured January 22, 2007, to June 21, 2011, and equipped with an auxiliary battery.
