THE FRONT AXLE BROKE WITH NO EVIDENCE OF IMPACT OR DAMAGE. THE AXLE BROKE WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE AT LESS THAN 30 MPH ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET. THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 12,700 MILES ON IT. CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. WARNINGS TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND ELECTRONIC STABILITY ISSUES MAY POP UP. THE ENGINE MAKES A WEIRD NOISE AND THE CAR WILL OFTEN NOT SHIFT TO PARK TO RESTART. THIS HAS OCCURRED THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS FOR ME. EACH TIME I WAS LUCKILY DRIVING SLOWLY PRIOR TO A TURN. I HAVE BROUGHT THE CAR TO THE DEALER EACH TIME. THEY HAVE TRIED REPLACING THE SHIFTER, UPDATED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM AND CLEARED ERROR CODES. NOTHING WORKS. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE FOR OUR FAMILY AND THEY JUST KEEP RETURNING THE CAR TO ME.
