As I was exiting the exit ramp, you could here a noise from the suspension. Then a bunch of smoke came out and there truck seized up and stopped. I got out there was fluid/oil leaking everywhere. There was a trail of fluid following the car down the exit ramp. The truck was telling me to restart but I didn't not due to safety concerns. We had the car towed to the local Chevy dealership where it is being diagnose. There were no warning lights prior or any notification that there was an issue.

The cooling system has been failing, 1st I’ve had to replace the coolant control value twice, now my radiator is failing. This indicates to me there is an issue with the manufacturer of these parts. The pattern of failure has been confirmed by the service technician as well as research online. Online 2020-2026 3.0 liter duramax silverados made by Chevrolet and General Motors.

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light on an incline, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to operate as intended. The driver assist warning light illuminated. The vehicle independently accelerated and lunged forward, striking the preceding vehicle. The contact's vehicle pushed the preceding vehicle forward before coming to a stop. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the failure could not be duplicated. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.

Cluster screen is blinking and not showing speed or anything else. I did take it to the dealership they tried to reset it but that didn't work, I did talk to someone when I called the gm line but they said since I was a lil over t he warranty it was nothing they could do. GM help desk I believe, but I'm sure if the day is bot correct they have the call recorded to get the correct time and day

Since XXX, when my truck's engine failed, I have made repeated attempts to resolve this situation with General Motors and Wallace Chevrolet in [XXX]. I have contacted GM, visited the dealership multiple times, and personally spoken with the mechanic who examined my truck. The mechanic informed me that an engine lifter had seized or frozen, resulting in a serious engine failure. I have always properly maintained this vehicle. I have records of oil changes, routine maintenance, and other services. This truck has not been neglected or abused. I am aware of GM's extensive recalls involving hundreds of thousands of vehicles with serious engine defects. I understand that my truck's VIN is not included in the recall population. I have already contacted the legal team handling the related claims and was informed that my vehicle does not qualify. Nevertheless, I believe my truck's engine failure deserves the same serious attention and consideration, even if the underlying mechanical defect is different from the defect covered by those recalls. What is most disappointing is how General Motors and its representatives have handled my situation. I have been a loyal GM customer for years. I traded in two GM vehicles that I previously leased when I purchased this Silverado. I trusted GM and believed the company would stand behind its products. My 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 equipped with the 6.2L L87 V8 has exhibited abnormal engine behavior since shortly after purchase, well before GM announced the engine recall. Symptoms include extremely loud intermittent metallic lifter/valvetrain noise during cold starts, persistent rough idle, and noticeable engine vibration that causes the truck to rock back and forth after warming up. Paradise Chevrolet and Bunnin Chevrolet subsequently performed GM's prescribed PicoScope inspections, and both reported passing results. The oil-viscosity recall remedy was also completed, but the symptoms remain unresolved at 47,133 miles. I am concerned about potential internal engine damage and the possibility of sudden engine failure or loss of propulsion. Given NHTSA's investigation into L87 engine failures following recall repairs, I am requesting further investigation into the adequacy of GM's recall remedy.

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle failed to decelerate properly while the brake pedal was depressed. The brake pedal was firm. The ABS, Emergency Brakes, and Brake warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed and confirmed to have a transmission failure. The vehicle was repaired under warranty; however, while driving at approximately 50 MPH, the vehicle was shuddering, and while the transmission was shifting into a lower gear, the vehicle jolted. The same local dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 58,800.

I have received a voluntary recall notice on my 2023 Chevrolet Silverado. The recall states that the vehicle may have a condition which can cause the Fuel Pump power control module to fail. If this happens fuel flow to the engine could be interrupted causing the motor to shut off. Would this be considered a safety concern if the engine shuts down on th highway?

I drive a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 3.0L Diesel with the 10-speed transmission. The transmission control software failed to monitor/detect valve body wear or trigger a 5th-gear 'limp mode' safety net, resulting in three separate instances of sudden rear-wheel lockup at speed. The dealer was unable to replicate the issue during a service visit from 6/10 - XXX. The issue was raised as the transmission was shifting increasingly badly leading up to this service visit. The first full lockup occurred a few days after receipt of the vehicle on XXX driving eastbound on [XXX]. Off the gas, coasting downhill. Once everybody started speeding up, I increased the throttle gently and the truck shook violently. I initially thought I had been hit by another vehicle but realized it was the transmission. Speed was noted 24 mph. The second incident occurred XXX while traveling to [XXX]. Driving southbound between [XXX] and [XXX] at approximately 50 MPH in a coasting condition. Went to pass a slow vehicle and the vehicle jerked violently an locked the rear wheels. Initial assumption was that I had been hit. Was able to regain control and continue. The third incident occurredXXX while traveling from [XXX] to [XXX]. Driving eastbound on [XXX] at approximately 35 mph, when moving from a coast to acceleration posture, the vehicle again locked the rear wheels and jerked violently. Finally, onXXX when traveling southbound from [XXX] to [XXX], I stopped for fuel. When attempting to accelerate onto the freeway, the vehicle failed to engage 6 gear, stumbled, and then went into limp mode with a check engine light. On XXX a [XXX] dealer found code P0747 and addressed the issue with [XXX]. I was forced to rent a car to continue my journey to [XXX]. GM ultimately shipped my truck back to me one week later.
