Defect description

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022-2027 Cedar Creek, 2023-2027 FR3, 2023-2026 Palomino, 2024 Cardinal, Wildcat, Shasta Oasis, 2024-2026 Forest River Hardside, Palomino Real-Lite Camper, 2026 Puma Tracks, and Puma recreational vehicles and trailers, equipped with certain power seating assemblies. The power cord fuse may not provide adequate circuit protection.

Safety consequence

In the event of a short circuit, inadequate protection increases the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the power cord, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 21, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-535-2748. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-2109.

Damaged LP Gas Manifold May Leak

Defect description

Forest River, Inc (Forest River) is recalling certain 2025 Palomino recreational vehicles. The axle equalizer may contact and damage the LP gas manifold, causing a propane leak.

Safety consequence

A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will relocate the LP gas manifold, free of charge. All vehicles are still on dealer lots. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 269-432-3246. Forest River's number for this recall is 400-1857.

Incident: April 11, 2026 · Filed: May 4, 2026

I purchased my 2025 Palomino Columbus RV in February of 2025. I have towed it less than 600 miles, so including the delivery from the factory the RV has less than 2,000 miles. While inspecting the RV I noticed that the wheel spacing between the front and rear tires was different from side to side. The passenger (right) side was 5" but the driver's (left) side was 8.5". I inspected the suspension and found that the left side rear axle had slipped back on the leaf spring. The leaf spring centering pin had sheared allowing the axle to move back. The u-bolt hardware was tight. I did notify the RV and axle manufacturers. The RV manufacturer, Forest River, told me to contact the axle manufacturer, [XXX] , who in response had offered to provide two new leaf springs and pay for an hour of labor to have the springs replaced, which I believe is fair. I decided to upgrade the suspension but thought this was a very unsafe issue that should be recorded to ensure it was a one off issue and not systemic.
