Backup camera is blurry almost non-usable have gone to Nissan they've told me that they are aware of the problem but are probably not going to issue a recall for something that is mandated by law to have and to work properly for a new vehicle

So my seat pump which raises and lowers my seat went out and broke. Nissan has said it’s covered under warranty. It’s been 40 days since Nissan was first notified and they have my order on backorder. They refuse to give me a rental or park my car on their dealership lot while it awaits the part. The part is still on backorder for another estimated 2 weeks according to Nissan and they refused me a buyback and willingly and knowingly tell me to keep driving the defective vehicle. I have almost been in two car accidents form the lack of vision. I am [XXX] and can’t rent a car and the only people who can waive the rental is Nissan and they refuse that as well. The Attorney general and the BBB auto line has been involved and Nissan still refuses a viable solution. Instead preferring for me to drive the dangerous car. I have curb rash and paint scrapes on my vehicle as well from hitting curbs and bushes. I have told Nissan this countless times and they refuse to help. The rearview backup camera system on my 2026 Nissan Sentra is malfunctioning. The camera image is extremely blurry and grainy, making it nearly unusable and preventing me from clearly seeing the area behind the vehicle when reversing. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request, and the camera malfunction can be demonstrated by placing the vehicle in reverse.The severely blurry and grainy backup camera image creates a safety hazard when reversing because I cannot clearly identify pedestrians, children, other vehicles, obstacles, or objects behind my vehicle. This significantly reduces my ability to safely maneuver in parking lots, driveways, and other areas where people or vehicles may be present. The camera is intended to assist the driver in detecting hazards behind the vehicle, but the poor image quality makes it nearly ineffective and increases the risk of a collision, property damage, or injury. I have contacted the dealership multiple times to report the backup camera problem and seek a resolution. The dealership has informed me that the issue is under "manufacturer review," but no resolution has been provided. The camera image can be observed when the vehicle is placed in reverse. I am requesting a determination of the cause of the malfunction and a permanent repair.

On XXX, while driving a 2026 Nissan Sentra rental with approximately 5,000 miles, I was traveling about 75 mph on a freeway in [XXX]. The vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly rapidly decelerated/braked and became disabled. I had no warning before the failure and was barely able to get partially out of the travel area. After stopping, the vehicle was effectively immobilized. I could not shift it into neutral or otherwise move it safely completely out of danger. The steering/wheels would not allow us to move the vehicle normally. During the incident, the vehicle displayed a message stating that a system/software update was required. During the update process, I was unable to operate the emergency hazard flashers, leaving the disabled vehicle without hazard lights while we were still dangerously close to freeway traffic. A law-enforcement officer observed us, turned around, and stopped behind the vehicle with his emergency lights activated. He attempted to assist us but was also unable to get the vehicle moved normally. No police report was made, but I retained the responding officer's business card and can identify him. After the vehicle completed at least part of the process it was performing, I was eventually able to get it moving and reach a safer location. Alamo was notified, and I ultimately exchanged the vehicle. The exact component/system that failed is UNKNOWN. I do not know whether the software/update condition caused or contributed to the failure, but I am reporting it because the update message and inability to use the hazard flashers occurred in connection with the incident. I have requested that Alamo preserve the vehicle and its electronic, diagnostic, telematics, and software/update data. I was driving on the highway at about 75 mph with the cruise control set and suddenly heard a small pop noise. The check engine light then began to flashing so I pulled over immediately I put the car in park and the car started smoking smoke was filling the cab through the air vents I didn’t even have time to pop the hood and check once I got out the car exploded and I do not exaggerate when I say it exploded the entire front end went boom and was engulfed in flames the car was brand new I just got it 3 months ago with 9 miles on the dash it only had 4k st the time of the incident. My safety was put at risk because I could have died and been burned alive other people would see smoke panic and still sit in the car i however deal with cars and know signs to check for and what type of smoke means what plus it explo Who’s to say one won’t explode while someone is driving! Had the roadway been filled with heavy traffic I wouldn’t have been able to pull over in time the car was engulfed within 30 seconds of the check engine light coming on and me getting out the car after parking. The car had yet to be inspected by insurance but it’s literally burned to the frame I don’t know what much they will be able to find. There was no warning of this happening whatsoever the car was driving perfectly fine with no issues up until it exploded. Not a single light ever came on in the car it never drove irregular or anything the car hasn’t even had its first oil change. Something definitely malfunctioned and is not safe in these cars

Safety issue. I was on the highway when I has a flat. I opened the trunk to get the jack and spare , but to my surprise I found only styrofoam where the spare and jack should be. I called the dealer where I purchased the car and was told Nissan no longer provides those items. This was a real safety concern for me. Im a [XXX] female, often traveling out of town alone and I find Styrofoam! I was stuck on the side of the road...alone. More concerning to me was what if this had been my [XXX] granddaughter sitting there alone. Autos should always have basic safety equipment. Dealers should not be allowed to only provide a spray foam sealant. This flat was a tire replacemnet, a sealant will not suffice.. Todays incident was a safety violation..Spare tire and jacks must be standard equipment. A piece of styrofoam will not provide basic safety measures. Was going down some s curves when the car started trying to turn me to the left when I needed to go right. I started trying to correct it but I had no control of the steering wheel. The car then immediately accelerated which in turn made me flip end over end 3 times . My air bag didn't deploy and my seat belt let me fly out the seat and bounce around the car

Subject: Request for Assistance Regarding Safety Concern with 2026 Nissan Sentra , I am writing to respectfully request your assistance regarding a significant concern with my recently purchased 2026 Nissan Sentra. When I purchased this new vehicle, I did so with the expectation that its safety features and technology would meet the quality standards associated with the Nissan brand. Unfortunately, I have experienced an issue with the rear backup camera that has left me concerned and disappointed. Shortly after taking delivery of the vehicle, I noticed that the backup camera produces an image that appears blurry and lacks the clarity necessary to confidently identify objects, pedestrians, and other surroundings while reversing. Because the backup camera is an important driver-assistance and safety feature, its performance has raised concerns about its effectiveness in supporting safe vehicle operation. In an effort to resolve the matter, I brought the vehicle to Nissan for inspection. Following the evaluation, I was advised that the image quality was considered normal for the system and that no repair or corrective action was available. While I appreciate the assessment that was performed, I remain concerned that the camera's image quality falls below what a reasonable customer would expect from a brand-new vehicle. What makes this situation particularly frustrating is that I have owned and driven older Nissan vehicles whose backup camera systems provided noticeably clearer images. In comparison, the camera installed in my new Sentra appears to offer a lower level of visibility and confidence than systems found in some older vehicles and competing models. Had I known that the backup camera would perform at this level and that no repair or upgrade option would be available, I would have carefully reconsidered my purchase decision.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Greenacres Nissan – Sale of Vehicle With Immediate Safety Issue and Failure to Provide Resolution I am submitting this complaint regarding Greenacres Nissan and the handling of my vehicle purchase. I purchased a vehicle from Greenacres Nissan and took delivery on 7/3/26. Within five days of delivery, the vehicle developed a serious safety-related issue that made it unsafe to operate. I immediately contacted the dealership and returned the vehicle. The dealership currently has possession of the vehicle because it is unsafe to drive. I was informed that the repair requires a part that is on backorder, with no estimated arrival date. I was advised the repair could take months or longer. Despite the vehicle being unavailable and unsafe, I remain responsible for my loan payments. I requested that the dealership provide a reasonable resolution, including replacing the vehicle, assisting with a financing solution, or providing another option that would allow me to have safe transportation. The dealership has refused to provide a practical resolution and continues to tell me that I must wait indefinitely for the repair part. My complaint is not that a repair is needed. My concern is that a newly purchased vehicle became unsafe almost immediately after delivery and I have been left financially responsible for a vehicle I cannot use. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed and that Greenacres Nissan be encouraged to provide a fair resolution.

I purchased a brand new 2026 Nissan Sentra from McGavock Nissan Lubbock back in XXX. Not the base model but the fully loaded all bells and whistles model. At 9pm on Friday. XXX, after dark a truck carrying metal dropped some of his load. Although I tried to avoid it I did end up striking a piece of the metal while 2 hours from Lubbock. The metal sliced a tire open from the side. I went to the trunk to get the spare tire only to find the spare tire compartment was empty. I had to spend $300 to have the car towed. I had to spend $200 to rent a hotel room since it was late and all the tire places were closed. Not having a spare in the car had me stranded overnight in [XXX]. I had to purchase a tire, jack, and wheel wrench to change the tire. So I'm out roughly $500 and change because there was no spare to get me home. Both Texas DPS and Canyon Police Department showed up to check on me. Both Officers were flabbergasted that the car had no spare or emergency equipment. So it's not a common occurrence or a well-known one. On XXX I went to McGavock Nissan Lubbock and spoke to Sales Manager Willis Hockett. I explained the story to him and asked for the emergency tire accessories the car traditionally came with. What he told me was that spare tires and the emergency equipment to put them on are now upgrades that you have to pay for. That it was my fault for not asking about the spare and emergency equipment during the sale. That if it was not on the window invoice that the car did not come with it. I asked why this "upgrade" wasn't included in the Nissan commercials or the paperwork I reviewed before I purchased the vehicle. I also asked why I wasn't informed by the sales person that the car was being sold in pieces instead of as a whole unit. Nissan is selling Brand New fully loaded vehicles without the standard safety equipment. This led to my being stranded overnight in a town 2 hours away because tire places were closed.
