NHTSA #24V842000Reported November 7, 2024 · Corp. Micro Bird, Inc.
Potentially affected: 13 vehicles
Defect description
Corp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023 CT-Series vehicles equipped with a anti-vandal lock on the rear emergency door. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
Safety consequence
An emergency exit door that is locked can prevent or delay occupants from exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
