Headlights are defective and the seals give out and allow condensation to build on the inside making the light not function properly and then burn out as the condensation accumulates. Lane keep assist cannot function properly if traffic merges in, has trouble determining the lines and want to over correct as it completes the merge. Also drifts during the merge. Scary.

The contact owns a 2023 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while driving 5 MPH, there was an audible alarm before the steering wheel turned to the right and crashed into a parked vehicle. A Police report was filed; however, the information was not provided. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. Additionally, after the tow truck driver inspected the vehicle, the contact was informed that the passenger’s side front tie rod was fractured. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and a case was filed. The contact was informed that an inspector would be scheduled to inspect the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.

My 2023 Genesis G70 has recurrent, intermittent engine power loss and stalling while driving, including on highways. The check engine light comes on intermittently and the engine can run roughly. After a stall, restarting can restore operation, but the issue recurs. Unexpected power loss in highway traffic puts occupants and other road users at risk. The exact failed component is UNKNOWN. The vehicle had repeated prior visits to Genesis of Auburn without resolving the concern. Southtowne Hyundai and Genesis of Newnan held it from August 19 to September 4, 2026. Repair order 184931 documents the stalling complaint and reports of misfires on cylinders 2, 4 and 6. It records multiple test drives, inability to duplicate the concern, and no stored or active diagnostic trouble codes at that visit. The vehicle was returned without a repair for this concern. On September 9, 2026, five days after pickup, the same stalling/loss of power recurred. The Genesis diagnostic system reported P0300, P0302, P0304 and P0306 at 67,847 miles immediately afterward. I sent Genesis Consumer Affairs videos and the diagnostic information that day. On September 16 I requested another appointment and a loaner because of the continuing highway stalling. After a September 21 follow-up, the dealer offered late October diagnostics with no rental. Genesis later offered an expedited September 23 appointment; I requested September 24 because of a transportation constraint. The condition remains unresolved as of this report. I request review of this recurring safety concern. Service records, diagnostic screenshots and videos are available. The vehicle can be made available for inspection by arrangement. Precise driving speed and the first occurrence date are UNKNOWN.

I noticed my driver head light starting to get condensation after doing further research i found it’s a common manufacturer defect especially for the g70s. I took a further look by removing my front bumper & noticed 3 cracks starting from each screw on the front of the headlight mounting. after doing more research i found out it’s a common manufacture problem with over torquing the screws & after inspection that’s exactly why my headlight lense is cracking from bottom to top, as it’s too much force where the screws are & with hot & cold temperatures plastics & such move creating them to break. my safety is put at risk due to the corrosion building in the headlight causing my blinker to malfunction & my daytime lights to stop working. i’ve got pulled over for my daytime lights not being on as it looked like a headlight was out. it also is causing my car to short sometimes itll turn of driver monitoring & lane departure all of it, i will have lights on the dash for a few seconds or minutes & my car will act strange even when going in reverse the backup camera pulls too much electricity sometimes causing it all to go black & car will die randomly then turn back on after 30min-1hr. & this all only started happening after the headlight started getting corroded. it’s only been 2-3 months this has been going on. it doesn’t happen all the time but what does happen all the time is my daytime light on driver side doesn’t work. i have “check turn signal” warning light on 24-7 & maybe once a week the car will die knowingly even after driving a good distance.

The contact owns a 2023 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked inside the garage, the contact discovered that passenger’s side headlight was cracked and there was moisture inside the headlight. The contact stated that the moisture inside the headlight affected the operation of the turn signal. While the indicator was engaged, the message "Blinker Compromised" was displayed, and a triangle with an exclamation point was illuminated. The dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the cost of repair was not covered because the vehicle was not under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure by phone. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

The contact owns a 2023 Genesis G70. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the "Turn Signal Error" message was displayed and an orange master warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the contact noticed condensation in the passenger’s side headlight. The contact stated that the passenger’s side turn signal bulb was replaced. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, and it was determined that the passenger’s side headlight was damaged by an object. The vehicle was not repaired. The insurance company was informed of the issue and notified the contact that the issues were related to common stress factors. The vehicle was then taken to an auto body shop, where it was determined that the seals of the passenger’s side headlight had cracks or holes, causing condensation and water to enter the headlight assembly. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that a week later, the driver's side headlight had a similar failure. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was determined that an impact might have caused the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a claim was submitted. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

The vehicle experienced a sudden emergency braking intervention on the highway. Alert came on and it said emergency breaking with curved red arrow and the car slowed down from around 70mph-60mph. Lane assist was on but the car was not on cruise control. The problem was resolved after pressing the accelerator. I was not hit but the could have been a dangerous situation if someone was right behind me.

While driving my Genesis G70 on the highway in rainy conditions, the vehicle repeatedly loses traction and hydroplanes at normal highway speeds. The car begins sliding across lanes with very little control. During a prior incident, driver-assist features (lane keeping assist) were active. Rain appeared to interfere with the sensors, and the system malfunctioned by steering incorrectly. The steering wheel became difficult to control, and the vehicle attempted to steer into another lane while traction was already compromised. The vehicle hydroplaned across multiple lanes of the expressway, creating a high risk of collision. The system’s steering input did not match driver intent and made the situation more dangerous. The vehicle ultimately came to a stop near a wall but avoided impact. After this incident, I turned off the lane keeping assist feature. However, the problem continues. On a separate occasion, while entering the highway in rainy conditions, the vehicle immediately began sliding again, indicating an ongoing traction or stability issue even without driver-assist features active. This issue has occurred more than once and creates a serious safety risk to myself and others, as the vehicle becomes difficult to control and does not maintain proper traction in wet conditions.

While accelerating to highway speeds, the vehicle suddenly experienced a significant and continuous loss of power. Even with the accelerator fully pressed, the vehicle would not increase speed beyond roughly 50 mph. Based on the behavior and previous service history, the issue appears to be related to the engine, fuel delivery system, or overall powertrain. The incident created a serious safety concern for both the occupants and surrounding traffic. The vehicle could not properly accelerate, merge, or respond to normal highway conditions. Hazard lights had to be activated, and the vehicle remained in the slow lane for an extended period to avoid faster-moving traffic. The issue was consistent and repeatable throughout the drive. Multiple attempts to accelerate resulted in the same lack of response, and the loss of power persisted for the duration of the trip. The vehicle has not yet been inspected following this occurrence because when turned off and turned back on, the issue goes away and happens sporadically. It is also worth noting that the vehicle previously underwent a manufacturer-covered repair involving the high-pressure fuel pump, for which a warranty extension had been issued. This loss of power occurred after that repair was completed. No warning lights, alerts, or prior symptoms were present before or during the incident. Overall, the sudden loss of propulsion at highway speed posed an immediate safety risk, as the vehicle was unable to maintain appropriate speed or safely maneuver with traffic.

The headlights somehow gets condensation/moisture inside of them and when this happens it makes the turning signal faulty and not work properly. A notification pops up in the vehicle that says “check turn signal” and the turing signal does not flash properly. This has happened to my vehicle and I am part of a Facebook group and many of us G70 owners are having the same issue. The dealerships are claiming something cracked the headlights, letting moisture in. But the headlights are not cracked at all and there are an abundant amount of G70 owners having the exact same issue that is very expensive to fix. Some are even paying to get it fixed and still having the same issue after. This should be recalled to make it right and safe for drivers.
