Defect description

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Ahara, Entrada, 2022-2025 FR3, Georgetown, 2021-2023 Dynamax Isata, 2021-2025 Encore, Mirada, Pursuit, 2025 Sportscoach, V-Cruise, V-Sport, V-Tour, 2023 Sunseeker, and 2024-2025 V-RV motorhomes, equipped with General Electric air conditioners with a soft start device with part number ICM870-16A-BH5400. The air conditioner soft start device may fail and overheat.

Safety consequence

An air conditioner soft start device that overheats increases the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will replace the soft start, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 1, 2025. Defect description

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Forest River Cardinal, Wildcat, 2018-2019 Cedar Creek, 2021 Columbus, 2023 Continental Cargo, 2021-2024 Dynamax DX3, Dynamax Dynaquest XL, Dynamax Isata, Forest River IBEX, 2022-2024 Dynamax Europa, Forest River NOBO, 2022-2023 Forest River Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, and 2021-2023 Dynamax Force trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat.

Safety consequence

A circuit board that overheats increases the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will disconnect and cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed by May 14, 2024. Defect description

Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2021-2022 Dynamax Isata Class 3 and Class 5 motorhomes, 2021 Coachmen Sportscoach, 2020 Coachmen Pursuit, and 2017, 2020-2021 Coachmen Freelander motorhomes. The service valves on the LPG tanks may be improperly connected, which can cause a propane leak.

Safety consequence

A propane leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a fire.

Manufacturer remedy

Dealers will inspect and replace the service valves, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 2, 2022. Owner may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-262-3474 (Dynamax), 1-574-825-8212 (Sportscoach and Pursuit), and 1-574-825-8602 (Freelander). This unit is a cutaway Sprinter converted to a class C RV by Dynamax Corporation. I discovered a propane leak and in tracing it down, found that Dynamax had run their main propane delivery over a flexible hose. This hose was improperly protected from being damaged by poor installation process in that the hose was strapped to a cross member under the unit without consideration to protecting the sheath. I have just over 20K miles on this and the main sheath has a pinhole caused by it rubbing against a sharp edged metal cross-member. The cross-member is directly under the passenger compartment exposing us to fire and gas exposure. This danger could have easily been avoided by either putting a protective sheath between the hose an the cross-member, or plumbing the entire length with black pipe. I consider myself fortunate that this leak did not present itself while driving down the road. I have attached pictures of both the cross-member where the gas line is strapped down and the pinhole in the gas line (verified with a propane tester).
