Defect description

Cruise Car, Inc. (Cruise Car) is recalling certain 2019 Moke vehicles. The vehicles may be equipped with a windshield of the incorrect glass quality rating. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 205, "Glazing Materials."

Safety consequence

The incorrect windshield could affect the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Manufacturer remedy

Cruise Car will notify owners, and dealers will replace the windshield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 19, 2019. Owners may contact Cruise Car customer service at 1-941-929-1630.

BUT THEY ARE DEFRAUDING CUSTOMERS AS THE VEHICLES ARE NOT MOKE. FURTHERMORE, THE VEHICLES ARE ORDERED FROM CHINA AS COMPLETE ASSEMBLED UNITS AND MARKETED AS MADE IN AMERICA BY MOKE AMERICA AS IF IT WAS A CAR MANUFACTURER. MOKE AMERICA ALSO LOANS VIN NUMBERS FROM CRUISE CAR AND THEN HAS CARS IMPORTED FROM CHINA DIRECT TO DEALERS, ASKING THEM TO STAMP A CRUISE CAR VIN NUMBER ON EACH. DISCLAIMER: WE ARE MOKE USA, A SUBSIDIARY OF MOKE INTERNATIONAL AND THE GLOBAL MANUFACTURER OF MOKE. WE ARE ATTEMPTING TO MANAGE THE MOKE AMERICA SITUATION THROUGH TRADEMARK AND CIVIL LAW.
