The contact owns a 2022 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds in Hybrid Mode, the vehicle occasionally failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. In addition, the contact stated that the vehicle failed to maintain speed, and gradually decelerated while the accelerator pedal was being depressed. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired several times by the local dealer. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and remained with the dealer for further diagnostic tests and repair; however, the cause of the failure remained unknown. The contact stated that the brake pedal seized and could not be depressed. Due to the failure, the contact was forced to coast the vehicle to a complete stop. The contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed with an ABS module failure. The contact stated that the ABS module was replaced under warranty. The contact stated that the failure recently returned while approaching a stop sign. The same symptoms occurred during the failure and the contact was able to make a right turn and coast the vehicle to a complete stop. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a brake booster failure.
