The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, and ascending a medium grade in the road, the contact heard a "pinging" sound and the "Stop Safely - Vehicle will Shut Off Soon" warning light and a turtle symbol and the check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle lost motive power but was able to drive to the side of the road and shut off the vehicle. The contact stated that she was able to restart the vehicle, but the check engine warning light and the turtle symbol remained illuminated. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle, and only the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was able to drive to her destination. The contact had previously received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V010000 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System) and the recall repair was completed at a local dealer. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic for the recent failure. The vehicle was diagnosed and was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000. The contact stated the dealership insisted on replacing the power inverter even though they were told others who had the loss of motive power requires a new transmission.
