Defect description
Highland Ridge RV (Highland Ridge) is recalling certain 2014 Open Range LF319 fifth wheel recreational trailers manufactured October 23, 2013, through March 10, 2014. The flexible gas line for the kitchen slideout section is too short.
Safety consequence
When the kitchen area is expanded, the gas line may be pulled excessively, resulting in a gas leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
Free manufacturer remedy
Highland Ridge will notify owners and dealers will replace the existing gas line with a new longer gas line, free of charge. The recall began in July 2014. Owners may contact Highland Ridge at 1-260-768-7771.
