The central locking and keyless proximity systems suffered a catastrophic electronic malfunction. The vehicle completely auto-locked itself from the outside while the vehicle's smart keys, the driver's mobile phone, and a [XXX] child were all inside the cabin. The proximity sensors entirely failed to detect that the key was inside the vehicle, preventing any outside handle access or proximity unlocking. The occupant was temporarily trapped inside the vehicle. The manufacturer is currently holding the vehicle under an active repair order for related backordered high-voltage and electronic control modules from Germany, but has historically lacked a permanent fix for these door latch/locking software failures. I am reporting a severe, life-threatening safety defect involving the central locking system, electronic door latches, and the Multi Media Interface (MMI) control system on my vehicle. While driving, the vehicle has experienced multiple simultaneous malfunctions that pose an immediate risk of injury or fatality to passengers and other motorists: 1. Unintended Door Opening While Driving: The passenger-side vehicle door has popped open completely on its own while the vehicle is in motion at normal driving speeds and was caught by the safety latch. 2. Unintended Fuel/Charge Door Opening: The exterior fuel/charge door unlatches and opens on its own while driving. 3. Passenger Entrapment: The central locking and latching system glitched to the point where a passenger was physically trapped inside and completely unable to exit the car. The authorized dealership service department has diagnosed and confirmed these exact issues across three separate repair visits. The official manufacturer work orders explicitly state: "Door open while driving (replaced door latch)," "Fuel door open while driving found faults in MMI," and Passenger unable to exit car (Updated Software). Despite the dealership replacing the mechanical door latch and identifying electronic control faults within the MMI, I am nervous about operating the vehicle. This is a critical product defect affecting core safety restraint mechanisms. A moving vehicle whose doors spontaneously open or trap passengers inside is entirely unsafe to operate on public roads.

285/45R20 112H The rear passenger side tire, with 15203 miles, is completely worn out on the inner area (chassis facing) the remaining tires are in good condition. Original tires, when I pointed out the issue, the sealer said it was normal on those vehicles. The tires are 500 treadwear. This is not supposed to wear that soon. My vehicle sideswipped (3 times I had to put it back in the right position until it finally gained stability) on I-95 and I was able to safe it, despite it repeatedly tried to loose control on a wet pavement. That is why I inspected the car thoroughly. It looks like this tires do not match to that vehicle.

The dealer was contacted and stated that there was no fix for the failure. The manufacturer was contacted by phone and made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 18,000.

My 2025 Audi Q6 e-tron has repeated intermittent door-lock/door-release failures affecting multiple doors. Doors have failed to open from both inside and outside. I am concerned this could prevent or delay occupant egress in an emergency. The vehicle has been presented to Audi [XXX] repeatedly for this concern: XXX and XXX. Repairs have primarily involved software updates. During the August visit, Audi Technical Assistance Center (TAC #XXX) became involved due to the repeat concern. Audi directed the dealer to reinstall the KD2* software update and update four additional control modules. The vehicle was returned XXX. The problem immediately recurred: XXX - Driver door did not release normally from inside. XXX - Driver door again did not open normally from inside. XXX - Right-rear passenger door would not open from inside. XXX - Driver door would not open from inside (video available). XXX - Front passenger door would not open from outside. XXX - Front passenger door again would not open from outside. At the end of the same journey, it also failed to open normally from inside and required THREE pulls of the interior handle. The vehicle also has recurring ADAS/collision-system faults. On XXX, while stationary, it unexpectedly generated a large red collision/pre-crash warning and strongly pretensioned the driver's seatbelt. An ADAS failure also occurred while driving that day. On XXX following another passenger-door failure, the vehicle displayed "Driver assistance systems: currently limited." A large yellow warning triangle remained illuminated during the journey. These safety-related faults continue despite repeated repairs and Audi TAC involvement. Sudden complete loss of propulsion while driving, with no opportunity to safely leave the travel lane; failure repeated again seven miles later after vehicle restart. Once propulsion is lost the driver has 1 to 2 seconds before multiple loud banging noises and the vehicle shuddering to an immediate stop without the driver using the brake pedal. The warning on the dash was "High Voltage Electrical System Fault" all in red.

I am reporting an unresolved safety defect involving my Audi Q6 e-tron. Before August 5, 2026, the vehicle had repeated intermittent electronic/system malfunctions, including safety warnings, systems becoming unavailable, loss of audio, Apple CarPlay failures, “technical error” messages, and the interface freezing on loading screens even after restarting. I have photos and videos documenting many of these issues. The vehicle was taken to an Audi dealer on August 5 and returned August 12 after service that included a KD2 update. On August 17, while making a left turn through an intersection, the driver’s seat suddenly moved substantially/full rearward as the steering wheel/power steering column moved all the way upward. This changed my driving position while the vehicle was moving. I could no longer properly reach the accelerator and had difficulty maintaining control, creating an immediate risk of losing control or collision. I could not determine whether the vehicle also temporarily failed to respond to accelerator input or whether my inability to reach it was caused entirely by the seat movement. There were no warning lamps, messages, chimes, or other symptoms immediately before or after the event. The vehicle was returned to the Audi dealer and escalated to Audi corporate. A TAC case was opened and a regional case manager assigned. On August 26, the dealer advised there were no fault codes identifying the cause. The dealer did not state that the event had been reproduced and did not identify a failed component. The MMI was reset/updated again, but no definitive cause or repair was identified. The precise failed component is unknown, but the event involved the power driver’s seat and power steering-column positioning systems. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

The Airbag Cover is defective. The Logo on the steering wheel is deforming. I reported this issue to Audi and they are not assisting me in the replacement of the safety features. They are claiming that it is a trim piece and not subject warranty repairs. The Logo is the site of the airbag deployment in the event of an accident and could cause incorrect deployment or deployment failure. The happened in another vehicle I owned, and it was replaced as a safety issue. I have made attempts to deal directly with the dealer and with Audi Corporate, However, they are refusing to escalate this and are putting it on me to fix myself. The vehicle is under a factory warranty is any they are also refusing to cover it. I requested Audi send me the photos that they used in their determining that would not assist me, despite directly asking.

The contact owns a 2025 Audi Q6 E-Tron equipped with Bridgestone Tires, Tire Line: Alenza AS Ultra, Tire Size: 285/45/R20, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated that the rear tires indicated premature tread wear. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that similar failures were known failures; however, the tires were not inspected or replaced. The tire manufacturer was made aware of the failure and directed the contact to the vehicle manufacturer because the tires were OEM for the vehicle. The vehicle manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was directed to the tire manufacturer for additional assistance. The failure mileage was 10,000.

While driving my Audi Q6 e-tron on the highway, the vehicle experienced a sudden and complete loss of propulsion and nearly all vehicle electrical/display functions. The instrument cluster and dashboard went completely black, and the vehicle would no longer respond to accelerator input. I was able to get the vehicle to the side of the highway. After the failure, the vehicle could not be restarted or driven. The dashboard and vehicle controls remained inoperative, and I was unable to electronically lock the vehicle. The primary functions that continued to operate were the hazard warning lights and the SOS emergency-call button. An unusual additional symptom was that the steering wheel continued to vibrate intermittently/continuously for hours after the vehicle had become inoperative, indicating that at least some electrical systems remained powered despite the apparent shutdown of the vehicle. Because the vehicle lost propulsion and its primary displays and controls while traveling on a highway, I consider this a serious safety issue. There was no indication that the high-voltage traction battery was depleted. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Audi dealership. The dealership has not yet identified the cause of the failure and has escalated the diagnosis to a specialized Audi technician. I am submitting this complaint because a sudden and unexplained loss of propulsion, instrument displays, and vehicle control systems while driving could create a significant risk of a collision, particularly if it occurs at highway speed or in a location where the driver cannot safely move the vehicle out of traffic.
